Your Host

Meet Ngaire – a retired midwife, experienced beekeeper, and keen gardener who understands the importance of comfort and oversight. Ngaire lives on-site and offers a welcoming environment.

Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac, the house has lovely views over Ohiwa Harbour and Ohope Beach. A perfect place to relax.

Accessibility

The private entrance to the apartment is designed for easy access, with a series of low steps leading to the front door and handrails for added support. A lift in the main house is also available if needed.

Accommodation

The self-contained apartment is attached to the main house with a separate entrance for privacy. Inside, you'll find a light, peaceful bedroom with a Queen-sized bed, built-in wardrobe, and a love seat.

The living area is spacious, featuring a dining table, study desk, kitchenette, comfortable seating, TV, and WiFi. Enjoy the views of Ohiwa Harbour, from the comfort of your lounge, warmed by a heat pump.

Bathroom

Just steps from the bedroom, the private bathroom has a walk-in shower with a grab rail, toilet, and vanity. There's also a washing machine and dryer for your convenience.

Relax and Unwind

The apartment has a large undercover deck furnished with good outdoor seating — the perfect spot for morning coffee or an afternoon of bird-watching. You’ll also have access to a private garden with a swing seat, for relaxing with a book or simply enjoying the surroundings.

Host's Presence

Ngaire is often home, tending to her garden, and is available to provide assistance or simply share a friendly chat.

Experience native New Zealand wildlife, with frequent visits from pheasants, wekas, tui, and more. During spring, you might catch a glimpse of baby chicks exploring the lawns.
