Accessibility:
Our house is spacious and flat, with no stairs, so accessible to all and easy to get around.
The bedroom:
Your bedroom is 2.9m x 3.5 approximately. There is a comfortable single bed, and a second bed in the room that can be used as a resting place. Alternatively we can remove one bed and replace it with a small desk and a chair for your use instead, as somewhere to sit and write, or read. The room overlooks a garden and the street. There is an electric blanket on the bed and a wardrobe, scotch chest and a bedside table with drawers. There is also a reading lamp.
The Bathroom:
Your bathroom is directly opposite the bedroom. It is modern and spacious with an easily accessed shower, a bath, vanity and large mirror. A heater and fan will keep you warm and the mirror clear. There is a grab bar and a non-slip mat in the shower. A separate toilet is next to the bathroom. If necessary we also have a raised toilet seat and a shower stool available.
Facilities:
Host Presence:
You are welcome to make use of the whole house. We have a spacious lounge/dining area with a comfortable lounge suite, (including two lazy boy chairs) and a large television set. The lounge looks out to a private back garden. You are welcome to sit outside on our sheltered deck, to enjoy and rest while watching tuis playing in the trees.
Chris is retired, but regularly plays tennis. Heather runs her own business from home, but is out and about often. Our home is a quiet and peacful retreat for you to rest and relax. Both Heather and Chris love to cook, so you will be treated to delicious meals made with fresh healthy ingredients. Chris also makes excellent scones!
